Surah Ar-Rum 30:21
﴿هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ﴾
Meaning: They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them — in protection, concealment, and closeness.
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:187
﴿رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا﴾
Meaning: Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.
Surah Al-Furqan 25:74 — Du'a of the servants of the Most Merciful
﴿وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰ أَن تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا﴾
Meaning: And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them — perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah places therein much good.

Meaning: And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable.
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:228
«بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ»
Bārak Allāhu laka, wa bāraka ʿalayka, wa jamaʿa baynakumā fī khayr
Meaning: May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and join you both in goodness.

«اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ»
Allāhumma innī asʾaluka khayraha wa khayra mā jabaltaha ʿalayh, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihā wa min sharri mā jabaltaha ʿalayh
Meaning: O Allah, I ask You for her goodness and the goodness of what You have created her upon, and I seek refuge with You from her evil and from the evil of what You have created her upon.

«خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِهِ، وَأَنَا خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِي»
Meaning: The best of you is the best to his family, and I am the best of you to my family.

«الدُّنْيَا مَتَاعٌ، وَخَيْرُ مَتَاعِ الدُّنْيَا الْمَرْأَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ»
Meaning: The world is provision, and the best provision of the world is a righteous woman.

«اسْتَوْصُوا بِالنِّسَاءِ خَيْرًا»
Meaning: Treat women well.

«إِذَا أَحَبَّ أَحَدُكُمْ صَاحِبَهُ أَوْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُخْبِرْهُ»
Meaning: If one of you loves his companion, let him tell him so.

«تَبَسُّمُكَ فِي وَجْهِ أَخِيكَ صَدَقَةٌ»
Meaning: Your smile in the face of your brother is charity.

«مَا رَأَيْتُ لِلْمُتَحَابَّيْنِ مِثْلَ النِّكَاحِ»
Meaning: I have not seen anything like marriage for two people who love each other.
Ibn Majah (1847), graded Sahih by Al-Albani
«تَهَادَوْا تَحَابُّوا»
Meaning: Exchange gifts, and you will love one another — gifting strengthens love between spouses.
Al-Silsilah Al-Sahihah (792) — Hasan
«رَحِمَ اللَّهُ رَجُلًا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّى وَأَيْقَظَ امْرَأَتَهُ»
Meaning: May Allah have mercy on a man who rises at night to pray and wakes his wife so she too may pray.
Sunan Abi Dawud (1451), Ibn Majah (1336) — Sahih
«أَكْمَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا، وَخِيَارُكُمْ خِيَارُكُمْ لِنِسَائِهِمْ»
Meaning: The most complete of believers in faith are those with the best character, and the best of you are those who are best to their women.
Tirmidhi (1162) — Sahih
«أَوَّلُ مَا يَنْظُرُ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى وَجْهِ امْرَأَتِهِ عِنْدَ مَقْدَمِهِ مِنَ السَّفَرِ»
Meaning: From the Sunnah: a husband should look at his wife when returning from travel so she may find comfort in seeing him.

Meaning: O mankind, We created you from a male and a female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous.
Surah Al-Hujurat 49:13
﴿الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۗ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ﴾
Meaning: Those who believe and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Truly, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.
Surah Ar-Ra'd 13:28
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا﴾
Meaning: O you who believe, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire — the duty of caring for and guarding one's family.
Surah At-Tahrim 66:6
﴿وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ﴾
Meaning: The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong — a partnership of loyalty and support.
Surah At-Tawbah 9:71
﴿فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ﴾
Meaning: So by mercy from Allah you were gentle with them. Had you been harsh and hard-hearted, they would have dispersed from around you — gentleness draws near, harshness drives away.
Surah Aal-'Imran 3:159
﴿وَأَنكِحُوا الْأَيَامَىٰ مِنكُمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَائِكُمْ ۚ إِن يَكُونُوا فُقَرَاءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ﴾
Meaning: And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your servants. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty — a promise of provision with marriage.
Surah An-Nur 24:32
﴿مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً﴾
Meaning: Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while being a believer — We will surely grant them a good life.
Surah An-Nahl 16:97
«رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ»
Rabbanā ātinā fī-d-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fī-l-ākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā ʿadhāba-n-nār
Meaning: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire — a comprehensive du'a for both worlds.
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201
«رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ»
Rabbi hab lī min ladunka dhurriyyatan ṭayyibah, innaka samīʿu-d-duʿāʾ
Meaning: My Lord, grant me from Yourself a goodly offspring. Indeed, You hear all supplication — the du'a of Zakariyya for righteous offspring.
Surah Aal-'Imran 3:38
«رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ»
Rabbi-jʿalnī muqīma-ṣ-ṣalāti wa min dhurriyyatī, rabbanā wa taqabbal duʿāʾ
Meaning: My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants too. Our Lord, accept my supplication — the du'a of Ibrahim for the uprightness of his offspring.
Surah Ibrahim 14:40
«رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي»
Rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmataka-llatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa ʿalā wālidayya wa an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa aṣliḥ lī fī dhurriyyatī
Meaning: My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteousness of which You approve, and make righteous for me my offspring.
Surah Al-Ahqaf 46:15
«الرَّاحِمُونَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ، ارْحَمُوا مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ»
Meaning: The merciful are shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on earth, and the One above the heavens will be merciful to you — and family are the most deserving of one's mercy.
Sunan Abi Dawud, Tirmidhi — Sahih
«لَا يَفْرَكْ مُؤْمِنٌ مُؤْمِنَةً، إِنْ كَرِهَ مِنْهَا خُلُقًا رَضِيَ مِنْهَا آخَرَ»
Meaning: Let not a believing man hate a believing woman; if he dislikes one of her traits, he is pleased with another — one fault should not eclipse many virtues.
Sahih Muslim (1469)
«إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ»
Meaning: Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness, and grants for gentleness what He does not grant for harshness — gentleness is the key to hearts at home.
Sahih Muslim
«تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ لِأَرْبَعٍ: لِمَالِهَا، وَلِحَسَبِهَا، وَجَمَالِهَا، وَلِدِينِهَا، فَاظْفَرْ بِذَاتِ الدِّينِ»
Meaning: A woman is married for four: her wealth, her lineage, her beauty, and her religion. So choose the one of religion — the foundation of a sound choice.
Sahih Al-Bukhari (5090), Sahih Muslim (1466)
«مَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَالٍ، وَمَا زَادَ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا بِعَفْوٍ إِلَّا عِزًّا»
Meaning: Charity does not decrease wealth, and Allah does not increase a servant who forgives except in honor — forgiveness after conflict is dignity, not weakness.
Sahih Muslim (2588)
«اللَّهُمَّ أَلِّفْ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِنَا، وَأَصْلِحْ ذَاتَ بَيْنِنَا، وَاهْدِنَا سُبُلَ السَّلَامِ»
Allāhumma allif bayna qulūbinā, wa aṣliḥ dhāta bayninā, wa-hdinā subula-s-salām
Meaning: O Allah, unite our hearts, set right matters between us, and guide us to the paths of peace — a du'a for reconciliation and uniting hearts.
